Pressure Filter

Pressure Sand Filter consists of a pressure vessel-this could be either vertical or horizontal-fitted with a set of frontal pipe work and valves, graded silica quartz sand supported by layers of graded under bed consisting of pebbles and gravels, a top distributor to distribute the incoming water uniformly throughout the cross section of the filter, and an under drain system to collect filtered water.
Raw water flows down wards through the filter bed and as the suspended matter- which has usually been treated by addition of a coagulant like alum- is retained on the sand surface and between the sand grains immediately below the surface. There is steady rise in the loss of head as the filter process continues and the flow reduces once the pressure drop across the filter is excessive.
Pressure Filter In difficult drainage environments, where you want to spread the effluent out as much as possible to ensure you do not clog your media, this filter will act as a second level of filtration and will keep orifice lines clean.

Poor soil conditions. pressure filter holders are ideal for filtering gasses or liquids. Our large standard stainless steel pressure filter holders allow you to seal the membrane by hand with tightening and locking wing nuts. The large sanitary stainless steel large filter holders are non-threaded and can be completely disassembled for more thorough cleaning.
Choose one of our reservoir filter holders for filtering small batches of liquid without having to use a separate Pressure Filter vessel. We even carry multi media pressure sealing filter holders with a dual sealing system that compresses the filter between the inside wall and O-ring on the outer edge. Designed for use as full-flow or partial flow filters and for the low pressure range up to 25/60 bar, medium pressure up to 210 bar and high pressure up to 450 bar, MAHLE pressure filters are ideal for application as main-line filters, flangemounted filters and filters in intermediate plate design.
